Life is a series of choices.
Many people believe that during
circumstances that force them to do something against their moral value,
They will be strong enough to restrain and do the right
things.
Yet, I have seen many rational
people behave irrationally.
Certain circumstances often leave us
with only one reasonable choice,
sometimes that choice forces us to cross
our value and give up our identity.
We took it and gave up ourselves.
Because at least at that time, it makes sense.
The circumstances change rapidly and
our emotions subside,
then we begin to realize that we behave like the
people we used to judge.
We regret what we did, and we are scared of what
ourselves become.
The parts of us that we let go leave a hole in us.
Our
choice does not make sense anymore ,
but what is done cannot be
undone.
My father once told me that even the
sharpest sword could not hurt a wise man.
A wise man knows that given the
circumstances that he stands too near to the sword,
he will bleed.
He
will avoid the place too near to the sharpest sword.
Yet, I see rational people running
towards the sword every time.
We said we knew the consequences of
our decision
but deep down inside we believe that we are exceptional,
and
we are able to control our circumstances.
However, life always leads us to
the way we never expect.
Then we are left with only
regret.
It happens to
everybody.
